Fingerprints on Good Friday

These beautiful little daffodils seemed to have magically bloomed just for me this year. They haven't had a chance to bloom in 9 years that we have lived at this house (always mowed down too quickly!) So they may not look like anything special to anyone else, but they are definitely special to me and one of my favorite types of flowers since they have always reminded me of my mom. Spring is such a wonderful time of renewal for the earth and our spirits too, and these little daffodils welcome spring (usually much earlier here than now!) A beautiful reminder to be thoughtful of nature and enjoy its beauty while it lasts, and these are truely a lovely fingerprint of God...so I will pray for everyone on this Good Friday, be thankful for these gifts, and remind myself to just breathe today.

  1. How lovely, and how wonderful that you get to enjoy them this year! After all the snow, I'm savoring each and every blooming thing and the birds singing and the warmer days... my favorite time of year! Wishing you a blessed and joy-filled Easter. ~♥~

  3. What a beautiful post. I have had the same experience with my forsythia. It has never bloomed in the 18 years we have lived on our farm. My husband wanted to cut it down last year but I said no, lets keep it one more year. They are in full bloom this year and they are glorious in their golden flowers and sweet fragrance. All things in God's time. He is good. Have a blessed Easter.

  4. You are right, Gloria! Spring is one of God's most glorious blessings. I'm praying it lasts here in Ohio, and that we've seen the last of the snow for now!!
