Macro Monday: Moth or Butterfly

There are certain differences between moths and butterflies, and from what I remember about butterflies, besides their beautiful colors, are their antenae and wings...making me wonder if I saw a brown butterfly? I also saw this rose blooming in October and a web on this shrub that reminded me of a bridge, more simple joys of fall. 1. maybe it is a brown butterfly... as it's not so furry looking and it's in the daytime... I'm not sure!
Love your rose and cobweb bridge :)

  2. It looks like a Hackberry Emperor. They are pretty friendly, too.

The rose is beautiful. I don't have roses here. Had several in Memphis and need to plant some. I miss them.

The web is neat. Is that a cocoon in it or just a leaf or something?

Hope you have a great day. :)

  3. Wonderful pictures..You know, I get so excited if I get a picture of a butterfly/moth..Actually, anything gets me going..It is just you don't realize how beautiful they are till you get close and take a good look at them. I use to be a little nervous about Dragonflies..but I now know they don't hurt you..so I chase them around the yard..now that is a site to see..I am sure the neighbors are wondering about me..
    Have a great week..Rosebud.
