Fingerprints on Friday

This week has brought another round of major storms across with tornadoes so it was with a heavy heart that I found these lovely lillies on my walk, afterwards. Of course, we didn't get the worst of it so I'm sorry for those who did. Hope everyone has a safe Memorial Day weekend.
Psalm 16:1
Keep me safe, O God,
for in you I take refuge.
Psalm 16:7-8
I will praise the Lord, who counsels me;
even at night my heart instucts me.
I have set the Lord always before me.
Because he is at my right hand,
I will not be shaken.

  1. What a beautiful sky but oh, the poor flowers! Is Emily hiding from the storm? Our dog freaks out when there is thunder and I have to wrestle with her to get her in her crate. She "puts on her brakes" and I have to fight her every inch of the way. But if I don't, she tears up the carpeting and bookshelves and all kinds of things, trying to hide. Poor darling.

    Wishing you a joy-filled weekend and Memorial Day. :-)

  2. Emily can usually be found hiding here anytime there is thunder and lightening. This was taken afterwards, when she relaxed a bit. Hope there's no more big storms for a while again.
    Happy Friday!

  4. I complain about the weather until I remember those poor folks who have lost everything. Great Psalm. I see 2 sweet little feet poking out!

  5. Beautiful sky photo! Our irises have already bloomed here. One of my favorite flowers, I'm always delighted to see them bloom and kind of sad when it's over. That is a really cute photo of Emily. Our PetCat is afraid of thunder and will often hide in the bathroom during storms.
