The weather here went suddenly to "warm enough to spin a flag" again and even though I know it will only be around for a very short time, it made me wonder if I had forgotten all the wonderful gifts of Christmas time...the snow came just in time for my birthday. The icy roads stuck around longer. So as I went for my walk this morning with just a jacket on, thanking God for all His wonderful gifts and warm sunshine, I thought I would share some of our special gifts we received for Christmas today...organic lollipops (love the names, don't you?) Chocolate Monopoly, what a great idea and they played the game before eating the chocolates, but were disappointed you couldn't eat the board too! Then there were the special handmade gifts...crocheted and baked goodies, and we were lucky to receive more beautiful doilies from my grandmother. Some other special handmade gifts were these beautiful little pendants, the little Emily pin, and flower necklace made with origami paper, all made by Judy (artsyclay) Mary already wore the necklace to school and got awesome reviews from her friends and teachers so we thank you for sending everything...plus treats for Emily that she approves of, so they must be tasty little heart shaped treats.
I am so happy the jewelry and kitty treats were a hit! Wishing you a happy birthday and happy year to come!

ReplyDeletei love all the goodies. enjoy!!
Looks like a nice group of beautiful things..Judy does such wonderful work and a wonderful person too.
ReplyDeleteI tell you..I am trying to get myself moving, but slow going. Something about the cold weather, I become a slug. Everything suffers. Instead of creating, I do nothing. Trying a new routine..Every morning I ask God, "What do you want me to do today?"..I am trying, but my answers are slow coming..Have a wonderful 2013..
Yes, I did paint the plate..that was when the creative energy was flowing..ha..xoxoCarolyn
That Emily pin is terrific. I never saw Chocolate Monopoly before but I'll be keeping my eyes out for it. Emily looks like she's giving thanks for the treats, too.
ReplyDeleteWonderful gifts. I'm so glad you had a good Christmas and birthday. Though I mixed your birthday date with Treva's.
